Rarely seen, this 1993 Jackson Futura Standard, in superb condition.
Lightweight and easy to handle thanks to its slick upper body profile, this bass has passive pickups, but an active EQ control/preamp. Controls are: volume knob, EQ knob for each pickup (pot has center notch), pickup blend knob (pot has a center notch). The very effective EQ knobs allow for an impressive range of great tones, from bright and snappy to traditional P bass.
The neck joint allows for great access, it’s a bolt on with the neck that extends into the body, meaning there is essentially no neck heel to get in the way. This system reminds me a bit of the “cyber joint” that ESP featured briefly in the 90’s, around the same time period.
Headstock, neck and frets are great. A few very light finish marks as per last photos, but the bass looks, feels, and sounds truly fantastic.
The hard case is super clean and in excellent condition. Inside and out, no rips, stains, smell, all latches, hinges, feet, and handle are completely free from corrosion or damage. Comes with one key.
