The JJ series from Greco in the second half of the 80’s, with concord headstock and modern features, very obviously surfed on the wave of shred guitars, with specs similar to the Charvel Jackson, Fernandes, etc of the time. Originally white, the finish has aged to a yummy vanilla cream color. Bound neck and headstock. 24,75″ scale.
Electronics layout has each pup controlled by a 3-way on-off toggle switch, just like on a Charvel Model 4 or a BC Rich STIII.
Guitar is altogether super clean and in very good condition. Headstock tip pristine. Two dings on the front, and a smooth touched up/filled paint chip on the back edge below the controls cavity, as per last 2 photos.
Body is clean, polished and waxed, fretboard is clean and conditioned, frets are polished and show very little wear. Hardware and electronics are clean and everything works as it should. Grover tuners.
The bridge is the original proprietary “Wing” Greco single locking trem (strings are fed through the back, no need to cut off the string balls), old school top mount. The anchor spacing is 74mm so fits any modern trem.
The guitar is strung with a fresh set of 9-42 GHS Boomers (you might have to stretch them a bit still, once you bring them back to tension). Depending on your favorite string gauge and action height, local climate, etc, you will have to fine tune the set up to your personal taste.
Trem arm and gig bag included.
